Custom paint colours for signage that’s built to match your brand, not the other way round
Every A-board, chalkboard and wooden display we make can be finished in your exact brand colour. Send us a RAL reference, a Pantone swatch, or simply a hex code from your style guide, and our workshop will mix and spray it to match.
Custom Paint Colours: Brand consistency starts at street level
Signage is often the first physical touchpoint a customer has with your brand. A pavement sign, menu holder or chalkboard finished in an approximate shade of green, rather than your actual brand green, quietly undermines everything else you’ve invested in your identity. Colour matched signage removes that guesswork.
One colour, every site
Multi-site brands, pub groups and franchises can specify a single RAL or Pantone reference and know every location, from a flagship store to a new opening, is painted to the same standard.
Recognition at a glance
Customers register colour before they register text. A precisely matched brand colour helps your A-boards and displays be recognised on the street before anyone reads a single word.
A finish that outlasts a rebrand refresh
Because paint is mixed to your reference rather than picked from a standard shade card, your signage stays accurate to your guidelines through refits, rollouts and rebrands alike.
Give us a RAL, a Pantone, or a hex code — we’ll take it from there
You don’t need to be a print specialist to order a colour matched finish. Most customers already have one of the three references below sitting in their brand guidelines.
RAL colour
The most direct route. If your brand guidelines already specify a RAL number, we mix and spray to that reference precisely, with no interpretation needed.
Pantone (PMS)
Only have a Pantone swatch from your design team? We’ll colour match it to the nearest equivalent RAL paint reference so it can be accurately mixed and applied to timber and board.
Hex code
Working from a website style guide or logo file? Send us the hex code and we’ll translate it into the closest physical paint match, checked against your reference before production.
£125.00 + VAT per 5L tin
One flat starting fee covers the mixing and matching of your custom paint colour, whether it’s supplied as a RAL, Pantone or hex reference.
Per 5 litre tin of custom colour matched paint
- The £125.00 + VAT fee applies per 5L tin of custom mixed paint required for your order.
- Depending on the scale, finish and complexity of your project, this fee may be adjusted — we’ll always confirm exact pricing before any work begins.
- Applies to A-boards, chalkboards, menu holders and any of our bespoke wooden signage finished off-palette from our standard colour range.
Bespoke paint takes time to mix — up to 4 working weeks
Unlike our standard colour range, which is stocked and ready to spray, a custom RAL, Pantone or hex match doesn’t exist until we mix it. Each batch is prepared from scratch to your specific reference, checked for accuracy, and only then applied to your signage.
That process typically takes up to 4 working weeks from approval of your colour reference, ahead of your usual production time. If you’re working towards a launch date, store opening or rebrand deadline, it’s worth getting in touch as early as possible — our team can talk you through realistic timings during a free design consultation.

Paint colour matching — frequently asked questions
How much does custom paint colour matching cost?
Custom colour matching starts from £125.00 plus VAT per 5 litre tin of paint, covering a match to a RAL reference, a Pantone reference or a hex code. Depending on the scale and complexity of your project, this fee may be adjusted — we’ll always confirm pricing before production starts.
Can I supply a RAL, Pantone or hex colour for my sign?
Yes. You’re welcome to send a RAL reference number directly. If you only have a Pantone swatch or a hex code from your brand guidelines, our team will colour match it as close as possible so it can be mixed and sprayed accurately.
How long does bespoke paint colour matching take?
Because bespoke paint is mixed from scratch to your exact reference, custom colour orders can take up to 4 working weeks to arrive, in addition to standard production time on your signage. We’d always recommend building this into your project timeline.
Why use a colour matched finish instead of a standard shade?
A colour matched finish keeps your signage true to your exact brand colour, rather than the nearest standard shade. This matters most for multi-site brands, where consistency across every location strengthens recognition and reinforces your identity.
Which products can be colour matched?
Most of our range can be finished in a custom colour, including A-boards, chalkboards, menu holders, lecterns and our wider bespoke wooden products. If you’re unsure whether your product is suitable, our team can confirm this as part of your quote.
